Gone - Poem by SallyAnne Shuter

Sitting in my room thinking of you
Playing love songs till it hurts
But there is nothing I can do
No pick me up works
And I’m crying ‘cos
You’re gone

No proper goodbye
Just a see you
But I know I won’t
I’m starting to cry in my room
All alone
I love you

But you’re not thinking of me
Or are you?
If you are
Open the cage to my heart
Set me free.
