I Opened Myself - Poem by Lynzi Berner

I opened myself
vulnerable
exposed

You wrapped my in
your love
your heart

Our souls connected
if only briefly
then you were
gone

Flying free
over hilltops
and mountain ranges

The colors
of you
Painting the most
beautiful
sunsets

I am
grateful
to know
that for a moment
in time

I was loved by you!

I opened myself
vulnerable
exposed

I was
granted
love

A perfect memory
of an imperfect person

I will carry
the imprint of you
with me
Always
