I Read Huffpo Today - Poem by Denis Kucharski

I read Huffpo today
Lots of great articles
Great minds
Each one ignored
Silly 'radicals'-

Single payer
equal rights for gays
Peace...

How dare they!
The corporate maw cannot stand
Such insolence!

Put some young blood here
Smear a little there
Make the bankers' rounds

We must sacrifice this nation
Before the altar
of Goldman-Sachs
Big Pharma
And Wal-Street-Mart.

'Don't you want to be rich someday!
Everybody can be Andrew Carnegie
I mean Bill Gates, nevermind.'

Tiger Woods was in my basement
Studying Scientology with Tom Cruise
And hoping that Joe Lieberman
Wouldn't turn out the lights
Before the football game ended.

This country is going to the Browns.
