If I Die Before My Time - Poem by Dexsta Ray

If I die before my time
Just I pray it's not in vain
May they see past the exterior of a man who tried to change
May they understand that love and peace is all that fueled this flame
I know the drama that I faced
I shouldn't have entertained
A magnet for trouble
I really hope they see the truth
Though nobody care
'Cause now I lay beneath the shoes
I don't want none to cry
But I'd be sure to leave a mark
And I pray that the Lord will heal another bleeding heart
If I shall die before my time it'll bother a bit
Unless I've conquered all this struggling with sin
And if I die before my time
I just hope that you fare
And if I have a funeral
Somebody's there
