Jinger - Poem by Shauna Stoltz

another victim gone
this one closer to the heart
my love for their family
will never fall apart

she died last night
due to the pain of cancer
when will we stop it
and find a cure to beat it

Jinger Robinett died last night
because cancer took her away
God couldn't stand to see her
in so much pain

so he did the only thing
that he really could do
since the doctors couldn't help
he figured he would

the rain falling from the sky
is all the tears falling from her eyes
for now she knows how much
she really is loved and missed

you were like a mother to me
and i never thanked you
for helping me out
no matter how sick you were

you always made time
to help your family
and for that to you
i say thank you Jinger

your life was short
but your free from pain
yet selfishly we all
want you here to stay

I'd give anything
to see or hear you again
and i know for a fact
your family would to

hopefully thanks to you
more will be done to fight
to fight cancer and to make a cure
so that none will have to face this alone

and none will have
to go through the pain again
you went through it
more than i know

yet you fought strong
and battled till the end
I'm sorry to say that this time
the cancer won but not for long

your spirit and love
will linger on forever
because I know your family and I
will miss and love you forever
