Memorial Day - Poem by Gordon Jerome

Memorial day
Is there more that can be said
An honored way
For this nation to mourn our dead
Each paid our bill
For the freedoms with which we live
And yet more still
Will proudly give all they can give
This memorial day
Enjoy an additional day of rest
And quietly pray
For this nations fallen best.
'closing thought'
It does not matter where or when they did fall
It matters most that for this nation they gave all
