Mockery - Poem by Juge Sopczak

Rivers mock
the passage of blood
flowing thick
in the vessel.
Its course
a circuitry of motion
never stopping.
The agitated heart
sends waves crashing
thunderously
constantly
roaring with life.
Like the ocean
even when calm
it moulds the surface
with time
and repetition.
Mortality
is our sand castle
slowly returning
to the sea.
