My Crimson Love - Poem by kyle rainbolt

what good was love
when you knew it would die
like the last ray of the setting sun
behind the endless mountain

so i lay here
to wounded to sleep
but in the dark corners of my mind
i think of us

we caught a glimpse of what could have been
but we let that moment pass us by
ill never forget us i promise
please dont forget me either

now i must find another
to tell my secrets
look at this sharp blade
mabey i can spill my secrets

down my wrist slowly they run
dripping down my wrist
deeper and deeper i cut
till i am dizzy with loss

and in the crimson puddle on the floor
i see your face
one last time
before i die.....

sad depressing poem...but it captures the feelings after a painful break up very well. The type of sorrow that feels like it will only disappear once death has laid claim upon you. http: // (Report) Reply
