My Eating Disorder- My Friend - Poem by Tess E Bear

Lost until
I tried to find
A real good friend
Who never died

So there she is
Within my heart
She pushes me
To achieve such art

Always there
She makes me strive
To where I heard
You would rather die

I stand as one
But you can not see
What is here
Beneath the real me

Let me open
Up my soul
To read a story
Of a goal

This mirror here
It only sees
The inside world
Of being me

Reflected hate
Towards myself
Is how I look
Turned inside out

So now my goal
Is to set free
This image changing
