Of The Autumn In October [ Sonnet X - X X X I ] - Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr (FjR)
October leaves behind..........its charm,
Novemb'r winds fracture woods limbs,
Scent o' flowers hail impending doom
In Mother Natures...cold gravid womb
Exacting harsh change upon'er throne-
Of autumntide whereby she calls home.
Her sunset pours of red, like Cabernet,
Leaving Augusts humid haze...far away,
While o'er th' harvests gathering field's,
Soft Autum mist, hosting harvest meals.
Mother Nature procurates.....with tease
Off the glint of Octobers colour scheme.
Ochre leaves dangling fr'm their branch-
Til Winter comes 'n silences their Dance.
