Oil And Steel - Poem by Jan Elemans
Seized from the depths,
Refined to oil and steel.
Cold to the touch,
Slippery to the feel.
These two substances,
Make society thrive.
We deprived it from earth,
To shape our daily life.
From an artistic point of view
They don’t come to heart,
But, seen in a different light,
Oil and steel are works of art.
