Part Ii: Rebirth - Poem by Juge Sopczak

There was darkness all around me
and a false sense of silence.
My throat, stripped of all sound
My limbs, stripped of all feeling.
This place was not unfamiliar.
This void was the house of my nightmares,
mirroring itself making infinity seem that much more infinite.
I could feel myself being picked apart piece by piece
only to be sewn back together by invisible fingers
following some grotesque pattern of reconstruction.
When all was done, I looked around with eyes not my own.
The darkness was no longer dark for I saw all the hidden horrors
of the depths and realized
that I had become one of them...
