Scars - Poem by Ciara Owens

A silver moon
Tearing it's way through a room
Shinning hopelessly upon her face
Starring emptily into the night
Cascading down a pale cheek
Like diamonds on silk
Shadowed from the world
She lay here
In the rotting tomb
The dust of ages
Plummeting to the floor
Blood making stains
Like rubies over white marble
She is left alone
Nothing left to believe in
Her tears alone
Whisper of the scars
He left on her heart
