Shirley - Poem by emma boswell

Shes the one
who goes home to an
empty bed each night,
the smell of his hair
still on the sheets
to scared to wash him away
preserving every last
moment together.
Shes laying, nestled
in their sheets,
his voice is still echoing
through the walls,
she cant bear to lose
his voice to the ground,
so she still hears him
she still wears that smile
she still lays in those sheets.
