Tell Me Something About You - Poem by Lynzi Berner

I want to know
from you
something
about you

I can say
all day
how wonderful
I think you are
but that's me
talking about you

I know
you hold your breath
when your nervous

I know
that your vain
and that you
truely love yourself
but
some nights
you cry
when your alone

I know
that you never forget
the things people tell you
even if
they do

But I
need for you
to tell me
something

Does
the sound of a piano
bring tears to your eyes?

Do the
nighttime hours
hurt the most?

Do you replay
my smile
my laugh
over in your head
like
the haunting melody
of the one who loves you
beyond the limits
of
human
understanding

Will you
come back to me
one last time
to say goodbye?

Do you
really believe
that I deserve this
unforgiving
silence

and
if you do

is there
anything
I can do
to fix this?
