The Gift Of Love - Poem by Brenda Deakins

Our eyes met
Spirits touched
Not knowing why;

He touched my heart
In a way I’ve never felt
His warmth was a beaming light
In the waiting;

Then one day we kissed
Our spirits united as one
And the Gift was given;

True unconditional love
Like a rosebud opening
In the spring,
I felt love – true love
A Gift from above.

Every day I spend with him
Is another day I’m grateful for
The Gift of Love.
