The Truth If Created - Poem by Aniruddha Pathak
If truth were to need discovery,
Or an innovative creator,
Even a path-breaking inventor,
What use then is human enquiry?
A truth, if e’er created
On a blank page of mind’s diary,
If cooked up or invented,
No more would write than obituary—
Or truth ‘tis standing on its head,
Untruth, living life of truth long dead!
Yet, one that finds truth lights a torch,
And all darkling lies come to light,
Which, heat bellied by truth can scorch;
Needing no light truth is born bright.
