We Miss You - Poem by Aaron Distler
Growing up together,
we always had such a blast.
How can something so good,
be taken away so fast.
You were too young to go
but you already hurt for so long,
so I think I can sit in ease
knowing your pains finally gone.
Everyone wanted to help you,
you know we all tried,
but I know wherever you are
you no longer have to fight.
So in my final words to you,
I say I love you and good-bye.
I hope one day to see you again,
maybe in a different light.
