You - Poem by Colleen Delaney

i love you,
a secret inside,
this feeling,
that I'm desperate to hide.

A guarded heart,
no desire to share,
hiding feelings.

I see you,
a smile,
dances across my face,
misery,
fades away.

Is it possible?
laying a heart,
out on the table?
no hesitation,
trust.

should I risk,
being hurt again?
risking a heart,
so fragile, breakable,
untouchable, even cold,
to the ignorant eye.

locked away,
hiding,
in a confused cage of feelings.

you,
you are comprehendible,
in this crazy world.

understanding,
loving,
sweet,
compassionate.

you understand,
everything
there is to me.

    Another great poem!
I especially love the use of words, the expressions are great! The imagery also is great, and the same huge energy drives this poem too, it really does flow easy!
    again a 10!
