Your Way - Poem by William Croft

If that’s the way you want it: fine!
Against it there’s nothing that I can do.
So I say: follow your way, I’ll follow mine
With pain and sorrow for loosing you.

But that’s the way life is: I guess!
Nothing happens the way we want to.
I wish you luck; all the happiness
And someone to love you the way I do.

Though if one day (who knows?) you feel ready
To live and share your life with me
You’ll know that I’ll be waiting

To hold you in my arms steady
And live a whole life like we
Had never, ever, stopped dating.

(aka Luis Eusebio)
