A Million Miles - Poem by teejay easte
I walked a million miles under the stars
under the sullen glow of pale moonlight
I sat down where I ran
and whispered a stranger’s intention
Magic in the lake distorts all we see
if we ever really knew
who we are and what we’re for
I know. We were just lying.
I ran a million miles
under dark and knowing skies.
Concealed from sight
Let me run under the stars
Until the morning light
