A Night To Remember - Poem by Allen Brodell

Church filled with expectation
the congregation is joyous
slowly they fill up the pews
the choir sings beautifully
dressed in their choir uniforms
peacefully they look
as they sing praises to God

Minutes later a young man
dressed in a white robe
is lovingly submerged in the water
by the preacher that holds him carefully

Three times his head is underwater
baptized in this cold refreshing
winter's night in church

The preacher baptizes him in the
name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

The congregation is the witness
to this very special occasion

God bless you young man!
