An Evening To Sit With My Lady - Poem by Michael P. McParland

So now has come evening and the core
of the day has now ended and I want nothing more
right now than to sit with my lady and decompress.
Just forget the outside things that stress
and bask in the glow of that which
truly matters and is important,
spending time with the one you love
just doing the things you enjoy and bring you closer as one.
I want an evening to sit with my lady
I so cherish and adore and want to be with forevermore.

An evening to just sit with you in each others arms
reliving the old times as we talked and talk
about our dreams and plans for the future,
just holding each other and talking would be a pleasure.
An evening to just sit with my lady in splendor
and get lost in the magic that is her.
An evening to sit with my lady just spending time
with each other feeling content and peaceful
as we hold hands and each other.

I love you sweet Kira and wish I could just
sit with you on this evening talking for a bit
and as it went reading and then watching a film.
A splendid evening with you is all that I crave
and I long to feel the deep comfort it would bring.
I long and yearn for an evening with you to just sit
here and snuggle enjoying each others company.
I want an evening to just sit here with you
and hold you so close and give you sweet kisses,
I want an evening to just sit here and spend time with you
because I love you sweet lady and I adore you in full,
I want nothing more than to be with my Angel
spending quality time that is so very precious and treasured.
