Peter Sefton

Boundless - Poem by Peter Sefton

My heart reverberates in my chest
mocking me as you're laid to rest,
your eyes closed,
so angelically posed while we listen
to a story of the holy ghost

We see death as the end,
if only god his knowledge he would lend
so quickly would our souls mend
as our minds would twist and bend

We shed tears for the dead,
but mourn not god said,
all will come to me,
those who have lived, those alive, and those who shall be

We shall be as one when all is said and done,
but till that time weep not for the passed on,
and love until your time is gone.
