Broken Love - Poem by Lian Cerniglia

I still remember,
That cool stream,
Where we met,
And I began to dream.

When we met,
On that cool day,
All my fears,
Were driven away.

Our friendship,
Was oh so strong,
And I never felt,
That any of it was wrong.

But now you’ve left,
Me in the dark,
Without a light,
And with a broken heart.

I’ll always hope,
You’ll love me again,
As you did,
When we were friends.

But without you
What’s there to lose,
Except for my life,
And my hopes too.

But to you they don’t matter,
So goodbye, love,
Death wins again,
My angel from above.
