Divinity Ii - Poem by Khembottra Oum
We didn't have once upon a time,
we settled on lesser dreams.
like music without the sound
and heartbreak without the scream.
Confessions die in coffee shops,
that books and pages will always carry.
like a garden full of lotuses
and a poet writing his own obituary.
Fire turns religion into ashes,
God didn't take away the pain.
like love without the love
and cigarettes in the rain.
