Eternal - Poem by K.M. Jones
Fly closer to the sun, my love;
I want to see you burn.
I would rather see you as
A blazing star of Death,
Than to never see Life leave you,
But know that it is gone.
Raise your head from the marble altar,
Let me see your golden throat.
Into me let your rich blood flow,
And into my mind, your memory.
I will give to you my heart,
And you will give me your heart's beating.
I will have you in life,
As you now have me in Death.
Let your spirit cross the line,
Live on in me.
Let me make you eternal.
