Faultlines - Poem by Simon Brown

A faultline runs
Past the end of our street
A rip through the earth
Right under our feet

A faultline runs
Between you and I
We don’t quite connect
We just pass close by

A faultline runs
Through the middle of me
Half needs to be safe
The other half free

Faultlines may cause their worlds to shake
But the lines themselves will never break

A compositon of faultless lines... smooth flow and rhythm throughout and effective repitition of the opening line. The sentiment in the final couplet resounds...a thought provoking write Simon. j (Report)Reply
