Fax Machine - Poem by Lexy Lehr

Late at night,
When you're all alone,
Comes the sound
Of the telephone

You wonder who it could be
Calling you late at night
Then, suddenly, the ringing stops
And you see a flashing light

The light is very, very bright
And gives off a terrible sheen
Then, you stop and laugh at yourself,
It was only the fax machine!
