Friends - Poem by joseph freeman

I asked God for love
He filled my life with the unlovable
I asked Him for faith
He filled my life with trouble
I asked Him for peace
He filled my life with strife
But when I asked for encouragement
He brought you into my life
When I thought all was lost
I couldn't face another day
I didn't want to go on
Then He brought you my way
When trouble filled the earth
God invented friends
When your down & discouraged
they're the strength he always sends
