God Took Her In A Twinkle - Poem by Edward Hammer

God took her in a twinkle
As kind as He could be
Her passing was so peaceful
I felt her soul in me

I wished at that same moment
That I had passed on too
My heart had stopped a beat
Our life together through

We were a match from heaven
As everyone could see
She should have lived much longer
But that was not to be

The pain that lingers on
Cannot be dismissed
The one You took away
I will always miss

I can only hope my husband feels as strongly as you do for your wife. I am so sorry for your loss. Just think what a reunion you will have when you meet in heaven though, soulmates for eternity. This is so beautiful. This is the love we all strive for. God bless. sincerely, Mary (Report) Reply
