Golgotha's Cross Poem by james watkin

Golgotha's Cross

The only structure upreared of
The deity, of His own
Sacrifice, dripping. Nailed up
By strength of love alone.

Struck deep for significance in
What is for the world's heart
Petrifaction, to fertilize.
A stone, to break apart.

Regeneration's starting-point
Its most degraded rates.
As true for a blooms' fairness
As souls', who cultivates.
