Good Morning Sweet One - Poem by Michael P. McParland

Good morning sweet one and as the day greets us
I give you this kiss of endless peace
and deep loving warmth.
Give me a smile to light up the sky
and to let me know you feel a comfort
in the endless love that I send you.
Give me your glowing smile
because it helps me to make it
a little bit farther knowing I'll see it,
and with you as my northern star
it helps light my path.

I wish here this morning as I do
every single one that I rise
that before we truly had to get moving
I could spend time in bed with you.
Kissing and snuggling getting our fill
of our love the best that we can
to face the whole world and make
it back to each other as soon as we can.
I wish I could spend this morning with you
and every one after kissing, snuggling,
and some mornings a bit more passion.
I want to start every morning holding you darling.

Good morning and bright skies of
love and hope to you my dear.
My heart and I will be with you
hand in hand by your side every step of the way.
I'll be with you wrapping you up in my arms
giving you my support so you'll know you're not alone.
You are my Angel and I will always be yours,
I will always stand up for and protect you.
You are my Queen and I adore you.
If you start dragging and feeling sad
and need my hand it is there and I'll take yours.
Close your sweet sparkling eyes
and know I'm smiling just for you with
my deep looks of love I give only to you.
I'll never leave you feeling cold and abandoned
because you are my everything.
So truly sweet one have a great day
and remember I love you more than anything.

Lovely poem. I used to say the same things to my wife. Brings back memories. (Report) Reply
