Here It Goes Again - Poem by Shantelle Campbell

here i go again feeling it again
like i can do anything
the urgency to be on top of the world
only pulled back from the ecstacy by the reality of looking around
all the things that i've tried and failed
all the walls i've climbed and fell
to look up at all my vanished dreams but they still linger in my dreams
in my hopes
in my hands
in every motion of my body
the goals that i had i still feel and here i go again feeling it again
changing the day with my daydreaming
believing for a few great seconds that i can make them come true
make it real only to have it happen again here i go again feeling it again and again
reality
asking, how can i get out of it?
when will i get out of it?
