How To Become A Poet Poem by Yonah Jeong

How To Become A Poet

Rating: 4.3

A poet
do not use poetry
as a mean to the other ends

Do not covet
for money
for honor
for authority
for political power
for celebrity

No tricks
shows talent
lives one day
as a ephemera

Not living with poetry
only living poems

Becoming
one of the stepping stone
give a song
to running water
long years
person who is fraying
A poet

So

By
elected
publishing
recommendation
cannot be a poet
just be a rookie.

Thank you you are a true poet and for poets, their duties are more important than his qualification.

I don't look at the title, I simply appreciate what the poet has expressed.

This try says nothing on how to be poet. It tries to tell, in not so logical way, what a poet should not do. Explaining how to be poet is a grand task, and this is far from that.
