I Want To Be Holding You - Poem by Michael P. McParland

I want to be holding you my sweet one,
I want to be holding you tightly
and so close to me right now.
Rather right here where I live as I sit on the couch
or it be where you live us sitting back on your couch
I just want to be holding you and telling you
I love you right now.

I want to be holding you and stroking your hair,
I want to be holding you while I kiss you so deep.
I want to be holding because I love you my dear,
and I want to be holding you because you're my everything.

As I begin to feel tired and will soon go to bed
I want to be holding you while talking and rubbing your back.
I want to hold you because you're my Angel.
I want to hold you because you're so beautiful,
Kira my darling you are a treasure.

Kira you are a diamond and one I so cherish,
one so very rare out in the rough that is the world around us.
I want to hold you so you know you are special
and I want to hold just because I so love you.
Kira you are a trued blessing and I thank God
so very much for you,
you are a gift that is so wonderful.
I so deeply adore you because you are a truly
amazing and beautiful loving woman
and I want to hold you because I do truly love you.
