I Want You Back - Poem by Cally A. Nixon

My heart cries out,
to bring you back...
Because the door between us,
won't even open a crack.

I miss you more,
than I ever thought possible...
The town of Leon,
was always crossable.

Now I can't even,
dream of you being in reach again...
Your life here has ended,
and your new one will soon begin.

I feel so selfish to ask you,
to give up your freedom and come back to the pain...
But without you here,
its hard to stay sane.

I always heard you say,
that you were so very proud...
But your death shadows over those words,
like an ugly black cloud.

I want you back,
and not just for me...
But for all,
of your friends and family
