I Was Cooking - Poem by Danielle Assouline

I was cooking
The footsteps grew louder
The banging begame stronger
The bursting came over me
They were here for it
Yelling from the masked
Biting for the valuables
Pulling for money
Threatening, if not
Almost killed is bravery.
