Just Passed By - Poem by kathleen flores
I never thought one day of my life
I would be hurt and cut by a knife
The wound was so deep that I felt so bad
It was the most appalling one I ever had
Then for a minute you came in
For an instant, it was nothing
I can feel there’s a big change
There’s happiness like a play on stage
I’m thankful for this smile in my lips,
For the good memories in every trips,
That in my ups and downs
You’re just constantly hanging around
But suddenly, one day you left
I didn’t know what to do, I just wept.
Then later on I just figured out
That you’ve only followed your heart
There’s no more difficult time than this,
A time when someone leaves,
Sometimes I wanna fall on my knees,
Cry and let the witnesses be trees.
I can’t stand this penitential burden
But should I say that they are golden?
Because as the tears drip in my face,
The sadness in my heart slowly fades.
And I can’t change the fact
That never will you come back…
You were an angel
Who just passed by.
