Miss Saturday Lazy - Poem by s./j. goldner

beatles coffee drinking
whiskey and rye
bread
where is my blackbird when
plenty of sparrows are in
the yard
fenced-in and can't escape;
all your life
you were
only
waiting for
what moment to arise?

    Sus, 'Blackbird' is one of my all-time favorite Beatles' songs. I like your take on it... nicely done, as always! (Report) Reply

    What a thing to evaluate, then, this question many continue to elucidate. Indeed, I have arguments constantly with loved ones on this very subject, though never over coffee. :)
    My Best,
    Joy

    There always does seem something undefined that we can wish for. Thank you for filling some of your moments with this fine poem. (Report) Reply
