Mondays - Poem by Daniel Lloyd Kennedy

Monday's just another day,
At least to me it seemed that way,

That is, until the other day.
I think it must have been Monday.

Yes, it was, and glory be...
I found it made no sense to me,

What all the others usually said,
'Monday is a day to dread'

But now I think that I know why,
Those Mondays make so many cry.

Their weekend's passed, just like it should,
And all those things that felt so good.

Are now just memories, lingering on,
Until next weekend comes along.
