My Empty Wilderness

Rating: 5.0
I never thought it would come to this
Me driving you crazy
You finally caving in
All I ever wanted was you
But everything that makes me me
Is your most detested virtue

Now the empty wind hits me
Reminding me of life before you
I had forgotten my history
What I did to get me through

Where I invested all my pain
When I had no one to talk to
The light that kept me sane
That didn't radiate from you

You made me feel free
But I smothered you
I wasn't as carefree
I was in reality without you

Now there's silence between us
And that's all it'll ever be
I weave through my stuff
Looking for another door to be free.
