Only You - Poem by Maia AlmediaAmir

Who can?
You can!
Only you can!
Ban the ban and
Raise the banner.
Get beat down,
Still be a winner.
It's rough and tumble
But you won't stumble.
'Cause you can!
Only you can
Beat their meat
And recalim the street.
Afterall, it's your go take it
Remember to make it
Bigger than Hollywood baby
You can be my million dollar lady.
I'll be your Chaplain tramp
We'll make it happen, scamp,
Babe and look who can:
You can!
Only you!
The very best of you!
Look at you,
Turning blue.
It's just the noose
Relax, let loose,
Smoke some dis ganja
Dis beat is sick ya.
And in the morning you'll be dead,
But life's all in your head
So maybe it's for the best,
Take your rollex with you and leave the rest.
We'll sell you for spare parts
Down at the shipyards.
That is, if you don't mind
'Cause while we've been eating whatever we find
You've been living from whim to lust
So it's only just
If we gain a pretty penny
For a liver, lung or kidney,
'Cause who can bring us out of poverty?
Only you!
Only you!
Only you!
