Rejecting Misunderstandings

You made me laugh
Held my smile
Caused me to feel special
For awhile

Kept my fears
In the palm of your hand
But my heart surrendered
My brain couldn't take a stand

Adored your vibe
Your interesting stories
Knew we couldn't be right
The truth had been gorey

Much so, I couldn't bare
To look it in the eyes
To see what was there

Felt something
I hadn't in awhile
Instant attraction
Not just from a smile

Your personality
Clicked in my brain
But yours couldn't for mine
Even if you strained

Reality falls too late
My heart's embarassed
To have confessed everything
When your heart never asked.
