Safety Of My Love Poem by Craig Ludwig

Safety Of My Love

I think about you in my arms
every night that I go to sleep.
I dream of your dark eyes and
thick puckered up lips when
I'm counting the sheep.
My longing is like a scroll
written and unraveled
circumnavigating the globe
three times before it stops
in the city of Cebu because
there is my home, you are my home.
Come to me and I will be your shelter.
I will plant kisses on my Rose
and make sure she doesn't wither.
I want to give you back the life
that you gave to me, whether it was
unintentional or not, I don't care.
I know you love me with all your heart.
I can feel it in my own.
We have kindred hearts that beat for
kindred spirits that dance as one.
My two left feet become wings
that take flight and soar like
an angel watching over the earth.
I am an angel watching over your heart.
I am your security, my love.
Come to me, I will blanket you
with the safety of my love.
