Screamed - Poem by Lynzi Berner

You screamed
I heard it

I cried
you felt my tears

Souls intertwined
Two hearts beating out
one pulse

I laughed
you felt my joy

You were consumed by love
I felt the fire

Then I blinked
and you were gone

I screamed
you didn't hear me

I cried
I no longer feel the flame
