Separate Roads - Poem by Jeannie Anglin

I had a dream and you were there
I felt your love and your care
Only a dream, not you in the flesh
So long ago our lives did mesh
How could I believe this might be real
What once was, we can no longer feel
Too much time has past us by
So much changed, I wonder why
So many things never said
Never the chance to be wed
What kind of life could we make
If separate roads we did not take?
