I came across a foreign jewel today
I scarce can say her hallowed name with ease.
Well, I think it's hallowed anyway.
I do not actually ken her name, but please.
It's not as if I have not tried my friend.
Her tongue twists in much diff'rent ways to mine.
I wish a holy muse would to me lend.
A silver tongue that would to hers align.
I would consume a dictionary this night.
To find the rightful words, so she could hear
My beating heart, and see my love's fair light.
Oh if I could praat to her without the fear,
Of salty stumb'ling of such simple speech!
Though I will stumble ‘till she's in my reach
