The Legacy Of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati (Ii) - Poem by Vijaiya Ramkissoon

An adamant follower and practitioner of the Ancient scriptures,
He conformed to God’s teachings as embodied in the Holy Vedas.
He advocated the doctrine of the law of karma
And he lived his life within the boundaries of Vedic Dharma.

He restored the Vedas- storehouse of knowledge, source of wisdom,
He walked the path leading to salvation- God’s beautiful kingdom.
He destroyed blind faith and every misconception
Denouncing idolatry, ancestor worship, and the caste system.

He condemned all those acts which lacked Vedic sanction,
Helping others to reject falsehood was his sole intention.
He believed that truth is eternal and so, it shall prevail
And the Vedas are the truth; never does its message fail.

God’s universal principles he whole-heartedly embraced,
He struggled for the welfare of society despite the hardships he faced.
Never did he desire recognition nor did he wish for fame,
Humble was his nature, and finding truth was his major aim.

So, Victory be to him, that divine and fearless soul,
Victory be to him, whose values we strive to uphold.
Victory be to him, an exemplary figure and a great legend,
Victory be to him, Maharishi Swami Dayanand!

Bless! !
