The Past Destroys - Poem by Antonio Fejeran

The present doesn’t destroy the person
The past destroys the person
Can’t undo the past
But can do the present
The past of someone can
Destroy them not fast
But slowly
With out knowing
Until the time comes
When you think back
About your past
Knowing what happened
Again and again
Killing you slowly
Not knowing what your next step is
Life or death
